Why do we need to love our siblings?

Do you Love your siblings? Do you care for them?

Did you ever curse them?

Yeah! Well, everyone will do all these things. Including myself...Eeee.

But, What does God say? Did you know that? If not, no need to worry, I will tell you what God taught me from the Holy Bible. It will help you to examine yourself. We often hate our siblings because we think that our parents and elders love them more than us. If you were an elder one in your family then for sure, you might have thought like this probably a thousand times. Not only you, everyone will go through this same situation as an elder one. Sometimes siblings reveal our ill activities, and even if we plead with them they won't mind us. In these times we hate them to the core. 

In food also, if they won't share tasty food with us, we will become irritated. These are the most common things that will happen in every family. But what does Jesus says, Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer and no murderer has eternal life abiding in him (1 John 3:15). If you're a person who hates your brother/sister please repent. Our almighty Father is a loving God; he will forgive you and loves you with everlasting love. Did you ever say to your siblings that you don't like them? If you say this to your brother/sister, God says that you are not capable of loving him. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen (1 John 4:20) and you are considered as a liar. 

According to the Bible, Satan is identified as a Liar. Yes, he is the father of lies. For he is a liar and the father of lies ( John 8:44) So, don't behave like a devil's child. You can't change yourselves on your own, leave it in the hands of the Lord, accept him in your heart. He will guide you and mould you. Now, God asks this to you right now, how can you love me without loving your brother/sister? If you can't love your sibling, you can't love me either. Lord is talking to you at this moment, humble yourself in front of God and commit yourself to clean all the hurts and grudges from your heart. Once he purifies, you shall be completely clean. 

He will give you a new heart filled with joy and love so that you can love your sibling from today onwards. Then what are you waiting for? go and repent, because this is a commandment which is given by the Lord to us. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother (1 John 4:21). If you love God then, you have to love your siblings too and this is what Jesus Christ expects from us. We love because he first loved us (1 John 4:19). You can love your sibling because God loved you first. Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness (1 John 2:9) don't hide yourself in the darkness by hating your brother/sister with or without a cause. Hating is the sign of an evil one so don't do that. Love your siblings and be loved by Jesus Christ. 

Have a personal relationship with Jesus. 

Abide in Him, Be Faithful, and Commit to God.
